Remote Worker Reviews: Coffee Shops In Austin

Looking for the perfect spot in Austin to mix work and coffee? As remote work rises, the austin coffee shops are becoming a favorite for digital nomads. Here’s a curated list of Austin’s top coffee places that offer great brews, fast Wi-Fi, and the right vibe for productivity. Dive in and find your next favorite work spot, with my favorite coffee shops to work from.

Brentwood Social House

Address: 1601 W Koenig Ln, Austin, TX 78756

They had good food options and plenty of open space. I had no issues with wifi, and found there was a decent amount of plugs to charge my laptop. The restrooms were clean and the food was good, I tried one of their iced coffees and I wasn’t disappointed. The only con is that this is a family friendly place, and so it does get loud, but it is a good alternative for when the surrounding coffee shops get full. I simply stepped outside to make a call, it’s good to get fresh air anyways.

SpiderHouse Cafe

Address: 2908 Fruth St, Austin, TX 78705

There is plenty of seating here but it’s not really a place you want to go to work. People come and go since there is a bar, so if you can’t work in a loud place then you may have issues here. It’s a great place if you want to just get a few things done and want people to watch. There is indoor seating in a lowly light area and lots of outdoor seating areas. This is a great place to take a client for a meeting. If you want to keep it professional there’s coffee, or if you want to close a deal there are alcoholic beverages.

Craftwork Coffee Co  (Coffee and Coworking Space) – Domain

Address: Flatiron | Domain, 10727 Domain Dr Unit 100, Austin, TX 78758

A coffee shop and coworking space, I found this place to be well lit and intimate. There is limited seating but the coffee was good and the staff was very nice. Downstairs is regular seating and upstairs is the coworking space. I took a tour of the space and found it to be cozy, but it was a good way. I would recommend it for anyone wanting a more private type of coworkin area. There is also a seating spot where you can watch people from upstairs if you don’t feel like working.

MELD

Address: 502 W 30th St, Austin, TX 78705

I liked that MELD provides coffee, lockers, and beer. There are a few calling rooms to take calls from clients which is great. There is open seating downstairs and a quiet room upstairs. It’s great that this space offers those two areas. You will find a kitchen and fridge there too. For $10 you can stay all day on thursdays. I definitely suggest checking this space out then, free parking included.

Conclusion

Austin is more than just music; it’s a hotspot for remote workers and digital nomads. The city offers a range of coffee shops that are perfect for those looking for a blend of great coffee, fast Wi-Fi, and a work-friendly environment. Whether you’re an Austin local or a visiting nomad, these cafes are sure to enhance your work experience. Dive in, sip up, and get productive!
